Dear Rakesh Bakshi ...

Ur book totally made me cry. Here's why..

My uncle was diagnosed with stage 2 brain tumor. It was sudden, and needless to say it was a serious jolt to not only him, but to all of us. Especially to me, as he practically raised me like his own child, while Papa kept getting  transferred and Maa following him like a dutiful wife.

The tumor was treated, by gods grace, but it took a lot out of him. His energy, his smile, and a lot of his memories.. He was lost, irritable and difficult to handle.

I am in Pune, and work as an R.J. much as I would like to, I did not get to meet my Uncle that often. but this time when I went to see him, I came back with a smile in my heart and peace in my soul. And that is only because of your book and those 12 inspiring people who have bared their soul to you, the 12 directors.

I took with me the copy you had sent me long back.. for my uncle and kept reading out passages to him from the book, and when I stopped he started reading the book... As much as he could with his weak eye sight. And he finished the book in 2 days flat!.

His confidence returned, and he seemed to have found some solace in the words you penned. The stories brought him vigour and it seemed like a sign from god, who was asking of him to go on.

I thank you and each and every director for helping us keep the faith and going strong, no matter what.

Blessed be!

Regards

Apurva

(Dear RJ Apurva I am speechless, numb, with emotion, and would like your dear uncle to know that the courage he saw reflect in our book is actually in him too. Get well soon to him.
